Senior Trip - Day 2 - NYC

Hola!

This post is a day late because we went on a fireworks cruise last night! It was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience and I'm so glad we did it!

We spent our morning in Central Park, exploring all of the ins and outs, and riding bikes! We rented through the Citi Bike program in NYC, but didn't know you couldn't ride them through most of Central Park! (There are a few select paths that you may ride on, but you are supposed to walk your bikes through the park...)

We stopped by the Met on our way into the park (but didn't actually go in)
Once we were in the park, we walked around to see some of the attractions, including:

Belvedere Castle
Turtle Pond (and the surrounding areas)
 Central Park's Model Boat Lake
... and more!

We even enjoyed a couple of patriotic popsicles while in the park! Delicious and refreshing :)

For dinner, we made our way to the West Village neighborhood for dinner at Rafele. My mom thinks that Rafele is a lot like "Central Perk" from Friends! (P.S. You can visit the outdoor shooting location from Friends in Greenwich Village - see here)
Dinner at Rafele
We took a cruise out to the Statue of Liberty to see the fireworks over Brooklyn Bridge. So much fun!

It was windy...

Sup Lady Liberty?

That's all for now.
Amy
