Galápagos Animales y Vistas

Buenos noches,

We are in the Galápagos Islands! We spent our day today around tortoises and gift shops. I'm so excited to be here; it's basically a dream come true. I'm amazed at the amount of lush land that exists in the Galápagos. It's pretty crazy to think that Santa Cruz island is 97% national parks and 3% private land. The islands are so governmentally regulated, so all of the gift shops sell the same stuff and it's not cheap to live here, nor travel here.

As mentioned in the itinerary, plans in the islands may change. Please go onto Google News and filter it for Ecuador, as there are protests occurring on the island right now. Due to the protests, we are not able to go to San Cristobal island tomorrow. (We were planning to snorkel and see the sea lion territory)

The weather here is amazing and so far, so is all of the food. Please see the following pictures!

The little airplane! I sat in seat 6A, so I got to see out the window and catch glimpses of the islands.

Here we are!! (P.S. There is an Amy in this picture, you just have to look for her!)

See you soon! Cross your fingers for lots of blue footed boobies and safe waters!
