Buonjourno, Roma!

Yesterday we started with breakfast and 300 steps. Yes, you read that right :) After eating our final meal at the Ok, Bar we did the Campanile (bell tower) by Il duomo. The views were wonderful and the stairs were steep. Here are some pictures from that:
We then headed back to the hotel to check out and pack up before heading to Rome. So, we packed our stuff into the car and drove to a cute little town called Orvieto. Thankfully, it wasn't far off our route so it was a good pitstop on the way to Rome. We ate lunch there and explored the cathedral before heading out.
We ate lunch at Cafe Clandestino before heading to Rome.
Once we arrived in Rome, we stopped at a couple of spots outside the city to get some views. Partially to get a good start and also because of the limited traffic zones. We stopped at Piazza Garibaldi and the Orange Garden along the way. Here are some views:

And, we saw a famous sight on the way to the hotel.
Our hotel was in the limited traffic zone (which we ended up driving into too early), so mom and dad dropped us off. Then, they had an adventure trying to return the car. They got lost, went around a huge roundabout a couple of times, and had to reroute to a different place. Needless to say, they were happy to be back at the hotel and relax.

After checking in, we ate dinner at a place that is super close to our hotel. It was delicious!

We also did some sightseeing and got some gelato before bed. We were sad to see that Trevi was closed for restoration, but still threw our coins over. I dropped an entire scoop of gelato (like one of the cartoon characters with ice cream), which wasn't super fun. But it was still good. Originally, I had Nutella and Strawberry... I finished with the strawberry. Oh well!

When we got back, I tried to blog. I was almost finished but it deleted everything, so I apologize for the delay. I have learned my lesson!
